I know I’m dishonest ‘Cos you said that you’re not And I know that I’m greedy ‘Cos you’ve taken the lot And I know that we’d argue It’s just the way that you are So thank God I’m not like you At least not from afar ‘Cos I can’t be around, I can do without I can’t be around desires, all those things I admire I know I’m disloyal I saw you walking away And I know that I’m spiteful from all the things that you say And I know that there's conflict It’s just the way that you are So thank God I don’t need it At least not anymore ‘Cos I can’t be around, I can do without I can’t be around desires, all those things I admire So thank God that I’m running far away from it all And thank God that I’m running So far away from it all ‘Cos I can’t be around, I can do without I can’t be around lies, I can do without you crying I can’t be around, I can do without desires All those things I’d admire

Noa's Arc 04:02
One day that marks every other The truth that you’ll never recover A pain that just cannot be expressed It takes time for the reflex What made you think she’s giving up today? She chose to fight it all the way Noa’s Arc Curving down, never up Noa’s Arc Just curves down Noa’s Arc One girl with a thousand and one stories Still loved, though she just can’t recall it A past that can never let her go Guess it’s time to come home She won’t ever seek your empathy All your tears won’t cure this disease Noa’s Arc Curving down, never up Noa’s Arc Just curves down Noa’s Arc
3.
I know it’s wrong It’s partly why the voices tell me to carry on A lifetime of devices we rely upon Or so they say I sense a need I feel it as it burns a hole right into me Are those that never learn condemned to long repeat the automatic day? And when we wake every day too late they’ll soon understand And when we miss the chances to progress Then come and take my hand It’s that time again So who will rise to shake off this arcane system of compromise? ‘Cos there’s something quite circadian that beats a line to the automatic day And when we wake every day ‘round 8 they’ll soon understand And when we miss the chances to progress then come and take my hand It’s that time again
4.
Facing the fear that I might stay and fight some guy with a gun or some gang with a knife My reflex is on But am I coming home in the night? I want to believe that I’ll make the right choice Adrenalin calls, it’s no longer my voice That reflex kicks in That impetuous thing I avoid Fight or flight, you think you know but where’s the living proof? You like to think you’re in control but Your knife, it knows the truth Fortune it favours the brave, so they say But what use is that when you face judgement day? When safety, it calls your conscious thought’s spinning away Fight or flight, you think you know but where’s the living proof? You like to think you’re in control but Your gun, it knows the truth Fight or flight, you think you know but where’s the living proof? You like to think you’re in control but Your knife, it knows the truth
5.
And don't I know you never doubted yourself I'm certain of this And I can see you never needed my help But answer me this What’s the limit of your new found faith now? And have you weighed the costs? Who supplied them first? Do you have their trust? She turns and says Believe in something else, believing in yourself Believe you me you're all you’ll ever need Believe in something else, believe it for yourself Believe you me you're all you ever needed I never doubted that you healed in real time It was real when you spoke And those that feel you’re purely trading on lies, well they ain’t even ‘woke’ What’s the limit of these inner powers, now? What’s it drawing on? Who’d you buy it from? Where’s the salesman gone? She turns and says Believe in something else, believing in yourself Believe you me you're all you’ll ever need Believe in something else, believe it for yourself Believe you me you're all you ever needed All you ever need, all you ever needed All you ever need so Believe in something else Believing in yourself Believe in something else Believing in yourself

I run back out into the streets Listen out for those in need Lend a hand, if I can I reach I roll away all of the rocks Thought I heard somebody knock Thought I felt it in my heart We carry the children from the wreck our elders from the deck The rest can rot in hell The moment it hit You’ll have seen how I split right after hoarding all this I don’t care how you fall ‘Cos I’m stampeding out Watch me push you to the ground And I don’t care how you’re found ‘Cos I’ll be back after the storm I’ll share most everything I have A bed for those who’ve left behind everything they had It’s true, I’ll help rebuild your home And you’ll never walk alone ‘Til you make it on your own I’ll cook, I’ll feed you ‘til you’re well ‘Til you’re strong enough to tell how I left you for the birds
7.
Can't dance alone, the beat feels bigger with you Can't drink at home, I need to share so join the queue And all your friends were strangers when you met Some things are better in groups With people who don't even know it's you Where everybody's fooled the same way too, it's true Can't eat alone, I need to feel like I compete Can't sing at home, so everybody sing with me And all my friends were strangers when we met Some things are better in groups With people who won't ever talk to you Where everybody thinks the same way too, it's true Some things are better in groups With people who don't even know it's you Where everybody thinks the same way too, it's true And all my friends were strangers when we met

Home Again 04:13
And here we’ll have reached the point When the fear’s not the thing that we all avoid We all run towards the threat, towards the pain And we’ll pay for the chance to be hit to be scared, to be lost, be indifferent Walk the line, walk on fire, walk away The privilege of knowing we’re safe just allows us to indulge those things we hate The memory, the thrill of today is knowing we’ll be coming home again And how will you reach the extreme when you’ve not lived without complete immediacy? Will you battle, will you buckle, never fail? The privilege of knowing we’re safe just allows us to indulge those things we hate The memory, the thrill of today is knowing we’ll be coming home again The will to try, to test what it’s like for the other 50 percent And are you happy now you know, that you knew? The privilege of knowing we’re safe just allows us to indulge those things we hate The memory, the thrill of today is knowing we’ll be coming home again Coming home again Coming home again
9.
Bulletproof 03:55
They call me every name under the sun I keep my cool With claims that are flying in from everyone But I’m no fool You can tape me taking bribes or giving bungs But it’s no use ‘Cos life is just that little bit more fun when you’re bulletproof So everyone take aim and we’ll try to take a shot But when they feel no pain they’re just gonna laugh it off My people say it broadens my appeal But who’s to say? When you’ve carefully conspired in every deal They’ll agree anyway You can say that I am just a barefaced liar But it’s no use ‘Cos the people love a devil in disguise Thus I’m bulletproof So everyone take aim and we’ll try to take a shot But when they feel no pain they’re just gonna laugh it off They’re waiting for the moment I will fall They’ll wait a while ‘Cos when lawyers are still fielding all my calls it’s all so futile You can tape me taking bribes or giving bungs But it’s no use ‘Cos life is just that little bit more fun when you’re bulletproof When you’re bulletproof

We might shake hands when it’s all over Picking up spears, all the canon balls I might be hiding in the bunker But be in no doubt this means war So just pick any weapon of choice Change of clothes, shake a stick, call the boys. Let’s go to war And soon they’ll throw us to the lions It’s what I’ve trained my whole life for Thank God there’s a vicious mob behind us And be in no doubt this means war So just pick any song, raise your voice It may be sick but the ‘boys will be boys’. Let’s go to war. Let’s go to war And what will we do when we lose? So just pick any weapon of choice Change of clothes, shake a stick, call the boys. Let’s go to war Let’s go to war We might shake hands when it’s all over But be in no doubt this means war

When groups grow too large there’s gonna be a fight Some decisions are hard when everybody says they’re right And three is a crowd and then four a mistake ‘Cos someone is bound to be late Cross lines and enlist, there’s so much left to do ‘Cos different fish, they gotta jump out of the school But three is a crowd and then four a mistake I’m claiming this here caliphate And out of the dark, out of some kind of spark lights a flame Then they build their caches, soon they’re breaking away the Cult With No Name Come join in my gang where no-one’s made the rules You’ll soon understand how you were taken for a fool But three is a crowd, and then four a mistake I’m counting the hours ‘til it breaks And out of the dark, out of some kind of spark lights a flame Then they build their caches, soon they’re breaking away the Cult With No Name
12.
Ruins 04:31
I visited your ruins today Still trying to comprehend just what they say We’re told ‘rise up, come look at what they’ve done!’ We’re told to live in fear of someone And who’s to say? I visited your ruins today They tell me that in time it will be okay ‘Cos time will tell what they can’t tell you now ‘Cos time will tell you anyhow It will find a way I visited your ruins today A monument to war and its decay Come fight the power or, if not, all who fight Come live in fear until the time is right Gonna make them pay

about

The 10th album of CULT WITH NO NAME.

Less than two years since the release the universally acclaimed ‘Mediaburn’, London’s electronic balladeers reach double figures in spectacular fashion with their 10th , yes 10th, album in under 15 years.

Noticeably more electronic, NIGHTS IN NORTH SENTINEL is soaked in opulent late-night atmospheres. The pulsing minimalist synthwave of ‘You’re All You Ever Needed’ perfectly sets the tone, sitting as it does somewhere between ‘Goodbye Horses’ and Christine and The Queens. Elsewhere, the throbbing darkwave of ‘Noa’s Arc’, and soaring ‘Home Again’ see CWNN take an unexpected aim at the dancefloor.

CWNN’s trademark mournful melodic flair is in complete abundance, as evidenced by OMD-infused ‘The Automatic Day’, as well as the climactic ‘Ruins’ and deceptively tongue-in-cheek ‘Cult With No Name’. Meanwhile, ‘Fight or Flight’ somehow manages to marry Arabic flavours with blues dobro, against a sinuous groove.

NIGHTS IN NORTH SENTINEL has the usual smattering of guest stars. The sublime vocals of KELLI ALI (ex-SNEAKER PIMPS) ghost in and out across the entire album, and BLAINE L. REININGER (TUXEDOMOON) adds a serious stirring touch to the intense swirling European splendour of ‘After The Storm’.

Join CWNN as they celebrate their double figure landmark in serious and inimitable style.
